<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;I make art because I like to PLAY!  I like to have a space in my life where I can create like I see kids creating:  playing, experimenting and exploring with a sense of wonder and without judgement.  I am inspired by nature, music, mythology and words.  Before painting I take a few minutes to write in a stream of consciousness and then I pick out words and phrases that jump out at me.  I use that as a starting point.  I tend to work very quickly, preferring to use my hands and found objects like bubble wrap, cards, and pine cones to apply color and create texture on the canvas.  My favorite material to use in my artwork is glitter.  I love how the changing light dances with glitter, creating movement and a feeling tha the painting is &#8221;plugged in&#8221;&#8217;.  -Jessica Payne</p>
